Successfully tested BrahMos missile in India amidst tension from neighboring countries. Or the examination was done in Balasore, Defense Research and Development Organization, Odisha. The special thing is that this missile has been tested with indigenous boosters and airframes. 

After the successful test of the BrahMos missile, the DRDO chairman congratulated all the scientists and informed that this upgraded version of the BrahMos supersonic missile has already used indigenous boosters and airframes, and further indigenous items will be installed. 

Features of BrahMos missile 

India and Russia together built this missile. It is named after the holy rivers of both countries. 

The holy river of India is named after the Brahmaputra and the holy river of France, Muscava.  

1. Its biggest feature is that it can change its path in the air. 

2. This missile can be used by the three forces of water, land and air. 

3 Kbrhmos, Missile detection system is able to deceive ie it does not hold the radar 

4 . The BrahMos supersonic missile can penetrate its target located at a distance of 400 km. 

5 .It weighs 3000 kg, length is 8.4 m and diameter is 0.6 m.
